nik
Trustee and Operational Lead

Nik Hudson

Nik Hudson has worked in entertainment since school, inspired by his DJ father and jazz drummer grandfather. His passion for broadcasting began with hosting at Derby’s Radio Freedom and managing his college station at South East Derbyshire College. Nik later became a warm-up DJ alongside Jason Molloy, touring UK nightclubs and earning his own residencies, including a long-running spot at Chesterfield’s Beach Bar. Over 21 years, he played to thousands weekly, primarily for Northern Leisure/Luminar leaving a legacy of  crazy stage games and theme nights.

In 2010, Nik returned to radio as a breakfast show host on Amber Sound FM and launched Go Louder, a wedding and events brand providing DJs and entertainment across the Midlands. He also performed at festivals like Bingham’s “B-Fest” and Butlins adult weekenders.

A 2017 move to Nottingham reignited his love for theatre, leading to roles both on and off stage, including School of Rock. His contributions have earned him multiple awards and is still an active part in Nottingham’s Youth Theatre groups.
